Karate time and location changes for Fall 2010-2011

Karate will be held on Monday and Wednesdays this Fall.

We know this will conflict with family night for some families and we apologize for the inconvenience. Remember, you only pay for 4 lessons a month so if you miss Monday nights you are still getting your moneys worth.

Children Classes are from 6-7pm

Adult classes are from 7-8:30pm

Classes will be held at Liberty Academy Montessori, formerly known as Jefferson Montessori.

Please print and sign the below Registration form, Waiver and Student Handbook prior to attending the first class.

Piano lesson times still open and book needs

Hi there!

I don't have many piano times still available, but if you haven't chosen your time yet, this is what is left:

Wednesday from 5-6pm.

I also have some times during the day for home school students and I can do one or two early morning lessons.

If you really need another day, please contact me and we can see if I can make it work, but I can't guarantee anything. Most of my times were filled last spring and in the interest of not spreading myself too thin I have a set amount of students I can take.

Feel free to call or text me 227 3200 or email me ClanTower@gmail.com if you want to set up a time and we will see what we can do.

For books:
I like the Bastian books so please have all of those for your student's level. If you don't know their level contact me and we will sort it out.

I also like the Dozen a Day books.

For those who want them, I like the Primary Passages for beginners and easy hymns, primary etc.

More intermediate and advanced students may pick a book of music that is fun for them to play.

I understand that I am financially responsible for these 4 months and the following months after that. If I attend 1 class in a month I am responsible for payment of the entire month. Funakoshi Karate

Injury waiver and covenant not to sue

I ____________________________________ as the Parent/Guardian of __________________________ do hereby recognize and acknowledge that Funakoshi Karate is a dynamic and traditional martial art that teaches through example and demonstration, hand to hand combative techniques, as well as fighting techniques, and physical fitness conditioning exercises. I recognize that there is a potential for injury when engaged in these activities even under close supervisions of an affiliated instructor. I understand that injuries that may occur include but are not limited to: broken fingers and or toes, swollen lips, bruises, contusions, sprains, strains, dislocations, blisters, lacerations and may even include death. I forever hold Funakoshi Karate International, its governing body and the instructors, as well as the parents or guardians of other students and other students harmless and covenant not to sue for any injury incurred during normal instruction and during normal class activities. This waiver is not binding in the event of negligence committed by any of the above mentioned individuals.
